License Status Verification

License Status Verified provider badge methodology.

CourtFormAI should reserve license-status badges for official-license evidence, not payment status, featured placement, or general profile review.

When the badge should appear

License Status Verified should appear only when CourtFormAI has checked official records or approved evidence for the provider type and jurisdiction.

For attorneys, the verification should confirm full name, bar number, licensing jurisdiction, current authorization or standing, public disciplinary status or official disciplinary-record link, verification source, verification date, and next recheck date.

What must not create a badge

Payment, featured placement, advertising spend, subscription status, profile completeness, or lead-reception status must not create a license-status badge.

Specialty certification claims must be separate from general license-status verification and must be supported by the appropriate certifying authority.

Review cadence

Attorney license status should be rechecked at least weekly and before routing a paid legal-provider lead where license-status verification is part of the routing claim.

If a verification source fails, becomes stale, or contradicts the provider profile, CourtFormAI should suspend the badge while review is pending.
